"Why in this day and age, can't the State governments all get together and agree on 1 Australian driving license and 1 registration permit.

We seem to be able to do it with Passports?

Think of how much expensive duplication could be saved by the States - might be enough to reduce the costs of these items? But I won't hold
my breath on that happening."
