FuelWatch Happenings

  Hello

Welcome to the 2nd edition of FuelWatcher. As the year draws to a close and the festive season is upon us it is time to reflect on the highs and the lows that 2001 has brought us.

For the team at FuelWatch it has been great year and November has been another bumper month with thousands of new FuelWatchers joining our community.

The terrible events overseas in the past months have had a lot of people asking us what is going to happen with fuel prices and unfortunately there is no easy answer. The price of crude oil has continued to fall with prices now below $20 a barrel and the flow on effect to the pump has been great for motorists. Average prices across the country are 13.8 cents per litre cheaper than this time last year.

Matt Forman and Renee Assaf
FuelWatch National Manager Matt Forman presents Renee Assaf with her Winners Cheque

During November the "Grand in the Hand" promotion was run and we gave away 28 free tanks of fuel as well as $1000 cash to our lucky winner Renee Assaf from NSW. Renee has just had her first child 4 weeks ago (Steven Drk) and she tells me there is going to be one spoilt little boy this Christmas. Congratulations Renee!

Click here to see the winners list.

We are continuing to expand our media relationships and our Sydney FuelWatchers can now catch us on radio 2GB so tune in from 7am each week-day for the cheapest fuel prices on your way to work.

Later this month we are giving you a chance to have your say with our FuelWatcher Christmas Survey, so be sure to click on and tell us what you think – you might even win a surprise Christmas gift.

From the entire team at FuelWatch we wish each and every one of our FuelWatchers a happy and blessed holiday season and a healthy and prosperous new year.

Matt Forman
National Manager

Fuel Saving Tips

Each month we will have a fuel saving tip that has been sent in from one of our FuelWatcher's. If you know of a way that can help other FuelWatcher's save money on their fuel bill please send it in. If your tip is published we will send you a $25 FREE fuel voucher.

This month's tip was sent in by Alvin Taliman from Victoria:

Keep your air filter clean, so the engine gets a perfect air supply.
You'll get better acceleration, speed and fuel saving with the same pedal
depth. You just need to push the pedal higher than usual and save the fuel.

Congratulations Alvin, your $25 free fuel voucher is on the way
