| Hello and Welcome to the October 2005 edition of
the MotorMouth Newsletter.
Over recent weeks MotorMouth has been receiving quite a number
of emails regarding Ethanol.
Questions like:
- Where can I go to find information on Ethanol?
- Is Ethanol blended fuel safe for my vehicle?
- Which service stations sell E10?
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), the peak industry
organization representing the automotive industry in Australia has
some very comprehensive information on Ethanol on their Web Site
and we recommend you click on the link below:
www.autoindustries.com.au/ethanol.php/2004/03/00000001.html.
The FCAI strongly encourages motorists to check with their vehicle
manufacturer on the suitability of Ethanol for their particular
vehicle. A listing
of vehicle manufacturers is shown at the following link:
www.autoindustries.com.au/ethanol.php/2004/03/00000003.html.
The following links also provide some interesting information
if you wish to increase your knowledge in this area.
One of the challenges for MotorMouth is determining which sites
actually sell Ethanol blended fuel and the price at those sites.
Unless service stations display E10 pricing on their priceboards,
MotorMouth is unable to report the price on our website as our drivers
are not allowed to drive across service station forecourts to collect
prices.
So if your local service station sells Ethanol blended fuel please
send us an email with the brand and exact address of the site (however
the BP and Caltex links provide the locations of their sites selling
Ethanol blended fuel)
The information on Ethanol in this article has been gathered from
a range of publicly available sources in the interest of informing
our Newsletter Subscribers.
Until next month...
