MotorMouth Happenings

Hello and welcome to the November 2004 MotorMouth Newsletter.

2004 has been an eventful year for MotorMouth. Firstly, we changed from FuelWatch to MotorMouth and returned to a free service that doesn't require registration. Then we added new tools to the website including street searching and brand searching and more recently a complete Car Hire section. Many of the additions and changes made to the website this year have resulted directly from user feedback, so remember, if you have any suggestions for how we could improve the MotorMouth service, please let us know.

MotorMouth now has over 85,000 registered members throughout the country. We send 20,000 free personalised fuel price emails every week and our MotorMouth Newsletter is delivered to the inboxes of 50,000 people each month. Approximately 100 Tell a Friend emails are sent by MotorMouth users to friends and family each month to let them know about the MotorMouth website.

This year, over 100 websites added one or more of our fuel pricing WebWindows to their websites. (For those not familiar with our WebWindows, they are displayed on the right.) If you would like to add one of these free WebWindows to your personal or work website, email me or ask your Webmaster / intranet staff to contact me.

In 2004, MotorMouth has been featured on, or provided valuable fuel-pricing information to various major media groups throughout Australia. Some of these groups include:

The Courier Mail
The Daily Telegraph
The Sydney Morning Herald
The Adelaide Advertiser
The Melbourne Age
The Sun Herald
Nightly News Channel 7
Nightly News Channel 10
ABC News
The Today Show Channel 9
Brisbane Extra Channel 9
Today Tonight Channel 7
ABC Radio
The Alan Jones Program
B105 Brisbane

If you would like to hear regular fuel price updates on your local radio or television station, email us and we will offer them our services.

So, 2004 has been a busy year for MotorMouth. Of course 2004 has been an eventful year for all motorists in Australia as oil and fuel prices reached their highest levels in history. MotorMouth will give you a full run down of fuel prices throughout 2004 in each capital city in the December and January newsletters.

Until next month, keep spreading the word about MotorMouth!

Fuel Saving Tips

This month's winner is Jennifer from Como in WA

"Have a car-free day once every week, fortnight or month. This would mean all family members don't drive at all on the specified day - except for emergencies of course. Everyone would have to either stay at home on the day, cycle or walk, or take public transport. The car-free day could be a work/school day or a week-end day. You will regularly save fuel and get fitter."

Congratulations Jennifer, your $25 free fuel voucher is on the way!
