Hi

Welcome to the latest edition of FuelWatcher, the newsletter that saves Australian motorists money with fuel saving tips and information.

FuelWatch leads the field

FuelWatch has always maintained a strong focus on utilizing technology for the benefit of our users. One recent example is the development of our new SMS service, meaning the cheapest fuel prices can be delivered directly to your mobile. While this is a highly visible service, FuelWatch also has a number of other projects on the go, aimed at making fuel prices more accessible for all Australian motorists. One such project has focused entirely on Web Service development, and from a recent article published by The Australian, on March 25th 2003, it is obvious FuelWatch is leading the field in this arena.

Building a Web Services application, based on XML, WSDL and SOAP technology for the technos, we have developed a system that makes the dissemination of fuel prices to our business partners much more efficient. To read the article click here.

Moving on…

After just over a year with FuelWatch I am leaving to pursue a career in Ireland. Thanks for all your feedback during my time at FuelWatch. It has no doubt helped to shape the direction we have moved in. In my place I would like to extend a warm welcome to Bernadette Murray, who has joined FuelWatch as the new Marketing Manager. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and am sure Bernadette will gain as much from working as closely with our users as I have.

Until next month, continue to enjoy the savings!
